Although several major companies - including Enterprise, Holdings, First National Bank, MetLife and Symantec - have cut ties with the NRA following the most recent school shooting in Florida, FedEx has stood its ground and continues to partner with the NRA.
The carrier’s FedEx Advantage discount program remains available to members of the NRA Business Alliance, and the NRA still lists FedEx discounts among the benefits of joining its business association. The program provides a variety of discounts on FedEx services, including 18 percent off on select FedEx Express international shipping and 26 percent off select FedEx Express shipping domestically.
FedEx remains one of the last major American companies not to distance themselves from the NRA, although multiple petitions are calling on Apple, Amazon and other digital streaming services to drop the NRA’s television channel.
“NRATV is home to the NRA’s most dangerous and violence-inciting propaganda,” Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts said in a statement to accompany the petition, according to HuffPost.
“Let it be absolutely clear,” the NRA wrote in a Tweet on Saturday night. “The loss of a discount will neither scare nor distract one single NRA member from our mission to stand and defend the individual freedoms that have always made America the greatest nation in the world.”
